Intrinsyc Launches Android Platform Development Tools

RapidRIL extended to Android Platform enables Developers to Quickly Implement Android Radio Interface Layer

Barcelona, Spain – February 16, 2009 – Mobile World Congress: Intrinsyc Software International, Inc. (TSX: ICS), a leading provider of software solutions for mobile and embedded devices, today announced the launch of three new tools that reduce OEM time to market for Android mobile phones. RapidRIL for Android is a complete full-featured radio interface layer that can be cost-effectively reused across multiple operating systems. Telephony Test for Android is a fully automated and extensible script-based test suite that performs radiometric and systematic testing of Android telephony. Telephony Modem Simulator is a software-only tool that allows application developers to test complicated telephony-based use cases and boundary cases without the need for a hardware modem or network.

Android is a complete, open mobile phone software stack from the Open Handset Alliance. It includes everything a manufacturer or operator needs to build a mobile phone.
