Intrinsyc’s Soleus™ Software Platform Demonstrates Market Traction at the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC)

Momentum Builds for Consumer Handsets Based on the Soleus Software Platform

Vancouver, BC and San Jose, CA – April 15, 2008 – Intrinsyc Software International, Inc. (TSX: ICS), a global wireless software solutions provider, is showcasing multiple go-to-market, form-factor-specific wireless handheld devices based on its Soleus software platform at ESC Silicon Valley in San Jose, April 15-17. The soon to be commercially available consumer-oriented wireless handhelds demonstrate a wide range of converged capabilities, including mobile phones with GPS, consumer handsets with Mobile TV, and Personal Navigation Devices with mobile telephony.

Soleus handheld devices, based on Microsoft Windows® Embedded CE, including the MSI 5608 MDTV and GPS-enabled mobile phone with touch-based user interface, are on display at ESC Silicon Valley. Visitors to the conference are invited to view the Soleus software platform in action at Microsoft booth (#1320) in the McEnery Convention Center. “Consumers now demand UI-rich converged handhelds that combine mobile phone capabilities with other applications such as personal navigation or mobile TV,” said Mukund Ghangurde, Group Product Manager, Microsoft Corp. “Windows Embedded CE is a proven operating system that combined with the Soleus software platform, with its applications catalog, UI framework, and telephony software, allows manufacturers to rapidly design and build consumer wireless products with increased connectivity and service-oriented functionality.”

“As a Windows Embedded Gold Partner, Intrinsyc understands the significant advantages of building consumer devices with Windows Embedded CE,” said Souheil Gallouzi, Vice President and General Manager, Mobile Products and Development, Intrinsyc Software. “The 32-bit native operating system, unified kernel, and familiar embedded development tools, help our customers bring their Soleus-based devices to market faster. A wide array of Windows Embedded CE product SKUs combined with ability to select desired software components, accelerates time-to-market, optimizes footprint size, and allows for unmatched flexibility in device development.”

“The Soleus software platform speeds the handset development process,” said Gallouzi. ”Our commitment to accelerating device development cycles is further highlighted by delivering a release of Soleus in Q1 2008 that supports pre-certification of Soleus Reference Phone Driver Modules based on PTCRB standard requirements.”

Soleus is a modular software platform based on Windows Embedded CE that provides a certified applications library that can be used to build robust handheld devices, allowing them to be brought to market quickly. The intuitive Soleus User Interface (UI) Framework provides a rich development environment that enables device makers to create consistent branding across their product portfolio.
