Intrinsyc Executive Joins Industry Leaders for Mobile Jam Session at Mobile World Congress 2008
Wireless industry veteran and former Qualcomm executive, Souheil Gallouzi, to speak on next-generation devices and what drives consumer buying decisions
Vancouver, BC and Barcelona – February 5, 2008 – Intrinsyc Software International, Inc. (TSX: ICS), a global wireless software solutions provider, today announced that Souheil Gallouzi, Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Products and Development, will participate in an interactive Mobile Jam Session planned during the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona. Joining representatives from companies such as Yahoo, Nokia, and Vodafone, Mr. Gallouzi will speak about the impact of software on current and next-generation devices; what drives consumers’ buying decisions; and whether application development is best served by standardized platforms or open platforms and tools.
“As experts in software solutions for converged wireless devices, Intrinsyc can help developers evaluate how best to leverage the mobile ecosystem to reduce development cost, time, and risk,” said Mr. Gallouzi. “One of the most important upfront decisions is which high-level operating system (HLOS) to utilize. In making this decision developers must consider user interface, telephony, applications, form factor, and price – as well as the time required to get their device to market. At Intrinsyc, we believe the ability to customize the user experience is rapidly becoming a key success factor for converged wireless devices.”
The Mobile Jam Session brings together industry leaders from both large and small companies and connects them with developers to discuss ways to improve, innovate and navigate the mobile ecosystem. Information on the Mobile Jam Session can be found at: http://www.mobilejamsession.com/.
